Diplomatic and International Institutions and Organisations for Global Development and Cooperation

Il corso è volto ad un approccio operativo e funzionale alle relazioni internazionali ed al ruolo delle organizzazioni internazionali e di quei soggetti che, nel tempo, hanno affiancato nei ruoli economici sociali e infine diplomatici tali organizzazioni: le NGO e le multinazionali. Inteso quale complemento naturale al corso di diritto internazionale e di diritto dell’unione europea, il corso può essere consumato anche direttamente, ed è strutturato in maniera modulare, in modo da venire incontro agli interessi specifici di ogni studente. La conoscenza verte sui principali soggetti, la loro storia e struttura, i compiti, nella comprensione delle connessioni fra di loro quando si occupano di tematiche rilevanti.

L’obiettivo è di taglio teorico e pratico. Teorico, perché vuol fornire la possibilità di orientarsi nell’universo delle relazioni internazionali per come gestite dalle organizzazioni, NGO e multinazionali. Pratico perché, mostrando le interconnessioni e sovrapposizioni fra tali soggetti, anche attraverso “casi studio”, permette di poter partecipare attivamente a tale mondo, per chi sia interessato, potendo essere operativo fin da subito. Completano il corso degli incontri seminariali in ricevimento, per approfondire specifici interessi.

The global exploitation of resources until now. The case of cobalt mining. How the IO, NGO, MN try to cooperate and to deal with those issues 05. The United Nations and the Charter; their origins, structure, and agencies. The critical points it deals with. The galaxy of the critical issues and the many Organisations dealing with them. The UN Agencies. 06. A case study: silent spring, and how the States, the IOs, the Multinationals, the WHO (IO) and the WWF (NGO) have dealt with it. 07. Appeal for Amnesty. The NGO Amnesty International 08. The Nato and the Warsaw Treaty Organization The third actor: private companies and their social responsibility.
